Based on Adobe Content Server, EditionGuard is an affordable hosted eBook DRM (Digital Rights Management) solution for ePub and PDF eBooks. It can be integrated with any website via platform independent APIs, allowing for secure delivery of eBooks to dozens of compatible mobile devices and apps.
Typically, an Adobe Content Server based DRM system would run a company tens of thousands of dollars in the first year alone. The software license alone costs $10.000, and the costs for deploying, integrating and running all the software and hardware involved would at least double that cost. Since this system is the most widely used DRM solution for eBooks out there, many have not been able to get into the eBook business without being locked into a single device or vendor. EditionGuard aims to change that by providing Adobe Content Server as a hosted and fully managed solution with extra features and capabilites added on top.
