A Chinese Social Network Especially Made As A Mobile App

Jiepang provides an application for iOS, Android, and a mobile website. In early 2013, Jiepang launched an all new design in version 5.0, which evolved from its origins as China’s leading location based service (LBS) for the “check in”.  They can upload their images, videos, events etc. and they can comment and share to others user account.

Like others social media, Jiepang also has some similar features, it helps user to interact each other and make their friendly community. Jiepang has many interesting features which can record and track the all activities of the user, connect with special moments and looking for similar communities of people. Users can create a “To Do” list, which they can kept private also they can share to their friends. So this type activity can help to gather information of their friend life. In addition, users can view their personal page to view history chronologically, by photos, etc.

In the past, Jiepang was frequently called the Foursquare of China because of the similarity to Foursquare, but the redesign of Jiepang 5.0 shows up as a self-identity. The Jiepang service was made by David Liu, in 2010 and is available in user-friendly and traditional Chinese characters as well as English. In a result July 2013, it reaches 5 million users.

Jiepang homepage has available access to check-in toolbar that allows users to tag friends they are with, post their location, share a photo and add comments (“check-in”). Users can put a settings that their moments updated to their other social-network accounts on Tencent Weibo, Sina Weibo, Douban, Qzone, Kaixin001, Fanfou, Twitter and Renren. Each post can also be updated to WeChat moments or one-to one WeChat conversations.

Members can make a “To Do” list for their personal use and add “Tips” to venues that other members can read, which allows as suggestions for something cheerful things to do, see or eat at the location.

Moreover, users can view their private page to view history serially, by photos, etc.
