SlideShare: The Slide Hosting Service @SlideShare #WebToolsWiki

- Last Update:

SlideShare is a slide hosting service and home to over 10 million presentations. LinkedIn bought SlideShare back in 2012 for an affordable $119 million. SlideShare allows users to easily upload and share presentations, infographics, documents, videos, PDFs, and webinars.

Most research has shown that if you’re in the market to get views for your presentation, then you should create longer pieces of content. Say no to 6 page presentations. If you want a shot at big traffic you’ll need to make your presentation over 40 slides. A 5-6 slide presentation is likely not going to cut it if you’re looking for big numbers.

It’s all about telling a story visually. It’s about creation and design. Finally, treat your presentation like a blog post, and get make sure to share on other social networks.

If you’re a novice creating presentations, digest the Slideshare below that has generated over 153K views and counting. This presentation will give you a good foundation on slide creation and protocols.
